About Me.

Hello, my name is Sasha (they, them) I am a Drama therapist who is certified with the Quebec Art Therapy Association (AATQ) and The Academy of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists of Canada (ACNN) . As someone who was diagnosed with a Learning Disability and ADHD at the age of six, the theatre and art class quickly became my comfort. It was where I was accepted and celebrated. Enabling my self-expression and positive sense of self. Now I want to give that gift to others.

Values: Creativity, Connection, and Compassion

Experience: I have over eight years of experience working with youth (5-25 year olds) in environments like Summit School, L'annex Centre and the Friendship Circle. I am LGBTQ plus informed and work through a Disability Justice lens.

Vision: It is my aim to keep a Client-Centred Approach. Meaning I see my clients as whole people who are able to direct their own therapy. My style emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness to build a strong therapeutic relationship. We create a partnership to address goals that clients have expressed are important.

Therapeutic Techniques: Often I will use toys, puppets, role play, drama games, and art to help participants express themselves.
